Our Coffee

Michelangelo’s serves socially conscious and fair trade certified coffees. Making the decision to serve fair trade coffee was simple—we are committed to fostering long-term trade partnerships that are economically just and environmentally sound. Investing in the mutually beneficial relationships between farmers and consumers means we are contributing to a more equitable, democratic, and sustainable world.

Our roaster, Equal Exchange, partners with farmer cooperatives around the world who are democratically organized, sharing resources and decision-making among their members. Their long standing relationships allow them to secure the best crops while continuing to develop innovative programs in collaboration with the co-ops, from crop diversification to quality trainings to women's leadership development. At Equal Exchange’s solar-powered roaster in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, their worker-owner team batch roasts and conducts production cuppings daily to bring out the best characteristics in each harvest.
